A COOL + CONFIDENT HOME FOR A COOL + CONFIDENT FAMILY.

T + M are Cool People. You know the type - well-dressed, well-spoken, laid back, and effortlessly chic. They were living in a charming little house in Elbow Park, but needed a space that their growing family could call home. They purchased a house in Strathcona and gutted it.

We started from scratch, completely removing the kitchen and its surrounding walls to create an open main floor that seamlessly blended entry, living, dining, and kitchen. Keeping the base palette neutral and clean (white walls + white millwork), we brought in bold, textural accents through the use of patterned concrete tile, mid-century-inspired furniture pieces, colourful artwork, and funky accessories.

The downstairs media room plays triple duty - it’s a playroom for the kids, it’s a bar + games area, and it’s a spot for family movie nights and reading books in the sun.

And voila - a modern, family-friendly home with a boho flair that is clean, and comfortable, and charming.
