A STUNNING RETREAT JUST WEST OF THE CITY.

L + S have been living in this expansive Bearspaw home for over a decade. When it was built, the exterior was a mixture of taupe + rust red, with beige stone, curved corbels, and slate floors (see below for Before photos). But now, with their kids almost grown and future resale becoming a consideration, they decided it was time for an update.

Working with the existing stone + roof, the home was given brand new stucco, shakes, and window trim. We chose a fresh, light tone for the stucco, giving this dark exterior a major face lift.

The existing 16’ x 9’ solid wood doors (prone to warping + heavy beyond your wildest dreams) were replaced with wood-look fiberglass in a walnut tone.

The columns on the front porch were stripped down and built anew, and the curved corbels were removed entirely to give this home a more modern look.

All of the porches (1 at the front + 3 at the back) received new tile, replacing the square slate with a charcoal, stone-look porcelain.

New light fixtures were added around the entire house, including new garage sconces + a chandelier on the front porch where they didn’t exist previously. All of the existing pot lights, previously white, were given new black trims.
